# SRS – Sender Rewriting Scheme

SRS is a scheme used in the forwarding of emails to rewrite the address of the envelope sender. This is necessary to prevent the [Sender Policy Framework (SPF)](https://www.zone.lv/help/en/kb/spf-record/) from breaking.

Additional information The e-mail address **zonevs.eu** is changed to the final e-mail address on messages forwarded by the Zone server.

More about SRS is written in the [Zone blog](https://www.zone.lv/blogi/2016/10/28/e-kirjade-suunamine-serverite-vahel-voib-olla-ullatavalt-keeruline-seletame-kuidas-seda-viisakalt-teha/) (in Estonian).
